We’ve long been fans of the OTTE Gear Helmet Bag, but always felt it should be able to convert into a backpack. In the fall of 2024, we approached OTTE Gear with the idea to make that happen. Our goal was a minimalist, detachable strap system that could be added or removed quickly and easily. After several strap iterations and buckle options, we landed on a clean, purpose-built solution that delivers exactly what we envisioned - freeing up your hands to carry other gear while ensuring your high-value items securely attached to your person.
The USA-MADE OG V2 Helmet Bag is the ultimate in Helmet Bag design. While adhering to our design mantra "everything you need, nothing you don't." it packs in more usable space and padding than our V1. V2 is tested to fit up to a XXL Ops-Core FAST SF ballistic helmet with Wilcox G24 attached, AMPS mounted, plus all the related accessories within a Low Viz footprint.
Made of durable 500D Cordura® with a 500D VS17 Orange padded interior that provides high-contrast to help identify gear in low light. We also include removable dividers for inside the NODs pouch, and a divider to separate the pouch from the helmet. Three built-in organization pockets line one side of the bag, which are great for umbrella lights, headset cables, and batteries. Along the other side, we added a loop panel perfect for strobes, IFFs, and morale patches. Inside floor of bag features a 6"x6" MOLLE panel for alternate Nods storage under your helmet.

PROTECTION: The body and internal removable NODs box are generously padded with thick, closed-cell foam to properly protect your glass as well as your helmet. Protects from dents, nicks, and other armor-degrading actions that come when protective gear isn't properly stored.
